This Sure Seems Like the 2023 Acura Integra Interior We Haven’t Seen Yet
Though it is unconfirmed, this looks production ready.
The new 2023 Acura Integra hasn’t made the rounds much since we covered the prototype reveal back in November. Most of the spicy details came out then: six-speed manual gearbox, 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, and an architecture based on the 11th-generation Honda Civic. Acura did not show anybody the interior then or since, now we have found some apparently leaked photos of the completed Integra interior.

While on my usual Instagramming-while-on-the-clock break (sorry, Andrew), I stumbled across an Instagram story that shared some choice images that rung some alarm bells from an account called @carcounsel. With the caption “It is my Civic duty to share these | #Acura #Integra #Prototype”, these photos look strikingly like what the production Integra interior could look like, though it is unconfirmed. We reached out to Acura and the IG poster for comments, and we’ll update this post if we get more insights from either.
These photos are strange for two reasons. One, they are credited to the private account of @derphound01 who claims in the comment section that he took them at the Acura booth during this weekend’s Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. Two, there is indeed an Integra prototype on display but it is the yellow prototype with blackout tint (including windshield) that we saw in November and these images clearly show a car with no tint on the windshield or door glass.
The images of the official display car at Daytona don’t exactly track with what we’re seeing here but the interior spy shots do look legitimate. At the reveal, Acura was careful to not show any part of the interior, and camera shots were impossible to get. With the naked eye, however, we could see the prototype interior with limited clarity. To my eyes, these spy shots track with what I saw at the official reveal. Whether they were taken at Daytona is questionable to me.
While we can’t fully confirm the origin of the images, they seem to be of an actual Integra. The center console and passenger side grab “handle” are a dead match to the video Acura released teasing its manual gearbox and the air vents, switchgear, and steering wheel all look production-ready and somewhat Civic-like, with the steering wheel and climate control panel close matches to the Civic.
The Civic-ness continues with the door handles and infotainment system and overall is extremely Civic in proportion. For example, the distance and angle between the door handle and window switches look identical and the air vents look to be in the exact same place between the two siblings.
I still caution final judgment until we get to drive and experience the new Teggy, but so far it continues a worrying theme of being too much like a Civic. I said this about the exterior a few months back because every panel gap and line looks identical to a Civic and really betrays the Integra’s credibility as a standalone model. The bones of the interior even further my theory that the Integra and Civic might just share too much, to the Integra’s detriment.
To be fair, the Integra has a titan to compete against in the 11th-generation Civic. For Acura to make its new compact stand out, some more unique features and styling would be prudent. Here’s hoping that we hear more about the car soon and get some official news on a production car. For now, let’s see if these spy shots match what consumers will get this year.
